Les Phares

Pour les marins, la lointaine lueur du phare signifie la fin du voyage, et le début de la civilisation. Après une longue nuit de navigation, c'est leur guide et leur accueil, c'est le gardien qui les écarte des récifs et les conduit jusqu'au port endormi. Les phares représentés sont fictifs mais leurs coordonnées existent bel et bien. Le phare blanc se situe en Norvège tandis que le phare bleu est au nord de l'Irlande.

For sailors, the distant glow of the lighthouse means the end of the journey, and the beginning of civilization. After a long night of sailing, it is their guide and their welcome, it is the guardian that keeps them away from the reef and leads them to the sleeping harbour. The lighthouses represented in these pictures are fictitious, but their coordinates exist well and truly. The white beacon is located in Norway while the blue one is located in the north of Ireland.
